Books for November

behind closed doors the girl on the train

Can you believe there are only two months left in 2016? This year flew by. At one point I felt like this year was never going to end, but alas here we are. About to get ready to “ring in the new year.”

I still feel like there’s so much I need to get done though. My 2016 “to-do” list is looking kinda sad right now because it’s been neglected most of the year, much like my Goodreads reading challenge. Earlier this year, I set a colossal goal of reading 52 books in 2016. That’s a book a week. So what’s my current status on this Goodreads challenge? Well, here on Week 44 of the year, I am at a wee 8 books read and that’s only because I re-joined a book club. Sigh. I just need to do better. While I don’t think I can get to 52 books by December 31st, maybe, just maybe, I can do about half of that. With 8 weeks left in the year, I *think* I can commit to reading 16 more books before the year is out. 16 won’t quite get me to 26, but I’m okay with that.

Here’s what I’d like to read in November:

  1. The Girl on the Train
  2. Behind Closed Doors
  3. White Oleander
  4. The Perfect Mistress–book club read
  5. What Looks Like Crazy on an Ordinary Day
  6. TBD
  7. TBD
  8. TBD

The last few books will likely be very short. If you know of any exceptional short stories, let me know in the comments. Happy reading!

Until next time,

Well, if you’ve gotten through 8, I won’t even tell you the amount I’ve gotten through for this entire year. At least we’ve still got a few weeks left and I’m determined to finish these last two books.

    We got this, Vee!

Apparently, I don’t get notifications for comments anymore. :/ My apologies for the delay in responding! But nah, I didn’t get through 8. LOL. Maybe 3?? :::Hangs head in shame:::
